Well, in actuality we may not  cover  e v e r y t h i n g  you want to know about the afterlife -  after all, I don’t have direct recall from when I was there last – but I will do my best here to provide you with what we do know – mostly from the Jewish perspective.  Having said that, many of the issues covered here concerning the soul’s journey through the afterlife will also be applicable to those of other faiths as well.  In my upcoming book Back to the Afterlife, I delineate the circumstances under which souls of other faiths can take a similar afterlife journey and enjoy the fruits of their labor attained from this world.

I believe that exposure to ideas and images of the afterlife as we know them can contribute to the mental well-being of young and old.  The earlier one takes an earnest interest, the sooner they could be on their way to a more satisfying, intuitive, and anxiety-free life in this world.  When we understand that there is a continuum that reaches far beyond what we see here on Earth, we give ourselves the ability to take a deep breath and relax.  We are then capable of not rushing through this life like a chicken without a head.  We approach tasks in a more wholesome and accepting manner because we have a clue as to what our real objective is in this life.  We get less upset if things don’t always go our way.  We analyze situations in a way that makes sense as far as what our individual destiny is all about.  We develop a highly sensitized awareness of what is going on and thereby gain a richer, more appreciative perspective of circumstances and challenges that we face.

The ideas and concepts raised in this blog are not limited to people who have faith, are religiously observant, or those who believe in one God.  Those who lead a secular lifestyle and who depend less on religious teachings, can most certainly identify with elements of what happens to us next based on scientific evidence as documented in the literature.  I for one, have tried in my first book, Understanding the Afterlife in This Life and in the next book mentioned above, to combine these two elements of science and religion and find evidence that supports one another’s claims.  For example, how many times does one have to incarnate, if at all?  Is there really a Guide who accompanies each of us in the afterlife?  Is it really true that our souls, before coming down to Earth, have a choice as to within which body they want to be encased?

These are just a few questions from the wondrous and vast arena called the afterlife.  I welcome any questions and comments you may have, and especially personal experiences that will enlighten and enrich those participating in this dialogue.  So step up to the plate!
